This was on old window they used to use for the coal burner heater in
a basement.
The window opened to put the coal threw to the basement.
I removed the old concrete and door / window and added a 24" x 24" vinyl window
with a sealed area on the out side.
On 09/05/08 I was in Greeley.
This job took 8 hours.

Thats cheap for what I had to use in tools and skill to get the job done.

I put 3 basement windows in.

There 16 year old daughter
spends a lot of time in the
basement.
"  not a bedroom "

The customer did not want to
spend out the money for
bigger windows. Which means
cutting concrete.

These new windows are called
double slide.
This means " both " windows
slide and pop out.
In case of an emergency.
One could pop both windows
out and crawl threw the
opening. Stepping on a chair
of ladder.
It's not perfect, but it's better
than not being able to climb
out.
The Windows cost $135.00 ea.
I put all 3  in for about $175.00
Above is an old window.
They don't slide well, and only one was able to slide.
